I was searching for info on "Changde" on various Yahoo groups and came across a post from this woman who invited anyone receiving referrals from ChangDe, Hunan to join the ChangdeKids yahoo group and/or to email her for info and photos of the ChangDe SWI and possibly pictures of your child because the group sponsors 20 children with special needs there.

I emailed her and she immediately emailed me back. When I told her who we were adopting, this was her response:

She is one of the children we sponsor!! She is GORGEOUS!! We have photos of NanNan in our foster care albums!!

This is wonderful news!! Everyone will be thrilled to know she has been matched! I am so excited for you!!!

She then gave me the website and password to this site that has pictures of Nan Nan at the Love Without Boundaries, Believe in Me school as well as other pictures in the SWI.

This woman is also the moderator of the ChangDe Kids Yahoo group so she approved my membership request even though we are not already home with NanNan.

It was wonderful to read through the posts in the ChangDe Kids group!! The families who have adopted a child from ChangDe that belong to this yahoo group REALLY love the children who are still there. These families currently sponsor 20 SN kids with foster care and also sponsor 4 Hugging Grannies in addition to other projects. It was amazing to read posts from peope who would ask how Nan Nan was doing and if anyone knew where her file was. It was great seeing pictures of her at school and at her foster sister's birthday party.
