So there is an AWAA family that received their TA on Wednesday, June 10th. The very next day (YESTERDAY) on Thursday, June 11th they posted this to the AWAA Waiting Children Yahoo group:

Thank you for praying! We have our appointments. Our only disappointment is that our appointments are after July 1 when the new TB testing requirements take effect. We have to stay 5 extra days! We love China and seeing all there is there, but are leaving 4 children at home and hadn't budgeted for these extra days. We know God will help us work out all of these details. We are just SO thankful that we are finally going to be able to bring our son home! Our travel dates are June 19 - July 8.

So a couple of things I’d like to point out:

They received their TA and the very next day they had their travel dates.

They would be leaving for China in just ONE week.

They need to stay 5 extra days because of the new TB testing requirements!

I called Anna at AWAA and it appears that we will need to extend our time in China to 19 days instead of 14 days in order for Avah to have a TB test and for the test results to come back.

I was also surprised to see how fast this family received their travel dates! If we get our TA next week, it is NOT out of the realm of possibility that we could travel the following week. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! WOW!!! :)
