So this is funny...I just posted to the AWAA Yahoo group thinking I was in this group. Oh well....
Sunday, July 12, 2009
We met the group in the lobby at 9:15 a.m. to go to church at the Beijing International Christian Fellowship Church. It was nice to be worshipping there with the other families in our group.
We then went to the jade factory and picked up a few bracelets for the girls. Afterwards we went to lunch and feasted on some delicious Chinese food. The restaurant was next to the Friendship store so we were given some time to look around and shop if we wanted to. I picked up a few things for the girls. Love shopping for my girls!!
After shopping at the Friendship store we were on our way to The Great Wall. Sophia had been waiting for this for days! She loved it and climbed up rather fast. Going down was a different story since the steps were uneven and some were quite steep.
Our next stop was our traditional Peking Duck dinner. It was delicious!
All the families had to go back to their rooms and pack to go to the provinces their children are from!! So this is it…tomorrow we will meet our little blessing from above. We need to be on the bus that is taking us to the airport by 5:30 a.m. It is almost 11 p.m. right now and I'm feeling anxious about tomorrow so please pray that I will fall asleep quickly and sleep through until the wake-up call at 4:30 a.m.
Thank you to everyone who has been praying for us and for those who have been leaving us "comments." It's comforting to know we are being prayed. Pray for Avah. She will have a long trip to Changsha tomorrow. For all we know this is her first trip in a vehicle of any type. She will be saying goodbye to the only "family" she has known.

Dear Maria,
I cannot believe that tomorrow is the day....how incredibly exciting for everyone. Just reading about the Great Wall brought back so many memories...the Peking Dinner, the wonderful shopping and the anticipation of seeing your next child. We are praying for you and Avah as you start your new family of four.
Can't wait to see pictures of the big day.
Lots of Love, the Lynn's

We are ready to see those pics of Avah with you. You have been in our prayers and hope Avah will be helped through her grief by the wonderful love and care that we know will come from you.
Tell Sophia that Kaylei says Hello!
